Tovatt Architects & Planners is a Stockholm based practice with long international experience in urban planning and residential design. Recent projects have included the award winning design for Greenwich Millennium Village, London, and large residential projects in Stockholm, Prague, Helsinki and Dublin.

We are a young office with international experience and with a living inheritance from one of Swedish architecture's great innovators Ralph Erskine. Today, the office is working with design proposals for a wide range of projects. We have great experience of residential, infrastructure and town planning. We work with public buildings, offices and hotels and in addition we often participate in planning and infrastructure analysis.

Tovatt Architects and Planners design for the user. We do not allow architecture to stand in the way of the individual; rather we create a social environment with the public at its focus.

The aesthetics of the office have grown out of the attitudes, ideals and traditions, which we have inherited from Ralph Erskine. We represent a Scandinavian tradition in our view of environmental questions as a whole, of the persistence of social structures and in our contacts with the people and the specific environments in which we work. We accept both a social and a long-term responsibility for the dialogues in which we take part and in the commissions we accept.

The office is through the nature of working throughout Europe served by fast Internet connection and video conferencing facilities. Working closely with offices in other countries has become an enjoyable and informative process.
