The Annedal development – one of Stockholm’s new urban extensions gets its first tenants today, the 16th of February 2011. The first to move in are tenants to Svenska Bostäder – Sweden’s largest Housing association, providing rented accommodation. When completed, Annedal and its immediate neighborhood will contain more than 2000 new apartments.
The three buildings enjoying their first inhabitants are part of the larger block Kv. Kullagulla and in this first stage, 47 apartments have been completed. Two of the three buildings are so-called "passive houses".
For Tovatt Architects & Planners, this is a special moment in time: The Annedal project is the result of an international announced Architects competition in 2004 and since the winning scheme. We have followed the project development over the years – in close collaboration with the city authority (Stockholms Stad/Stadsbyggnadskontoret).
