Dublin is a city that has grown rapidly during the 1990's. The estimated growth for the next ten years period is of an increase of 1,5 million inhabitants. Erskine Tovatt received the commission in 2000 to create an urban plan for a new city quarter to the northern edge of Dublin from the landowner Ballymore Properties. The commission included the design of a masterplan for the area, as well as, a design guide, which supports flexibility, and design of individual buildings and creativity for the development of the proposal.
