The masterplan for a part of Kolpino located in the outskirts southwest of St Petersburg are structured around a central space, the Rotunda.  Our urban design concept helps to reveal the harmony of the original structure of Kolpino. The concept gives one of its central parts the aesthetics and architectural appearance that the city deserves in which the grand gesture and urban intimacy can be combined.

After a stage by stage completion of the Masterplan in 2010 and a municipal acceptance of the urban design, the second stage design work for an architectural concept began in early 2011. Stage two focused on illustrative documents and emphasized in the creation of images illustrating the identity and the character of the public space around the Rotunda as well as detailed considerations regarding an architectural concept for a pilot block.
