Together with Söderhamn local authority Tovatt Architects and Planners developed a proposal for how to develop a group of weekend houses close to the coast between Söderhamn and Gävle. The site is next to a large nature reserve and is at present hard to access. Through establishing a small village the possibility to access the coast and further in to the nature reserve will increase.

The design solution was inspired by historic fishing villages, placing the buildings in close proximity to one another around a narrow street pattern. Additional pier buildings and walkways help to form an intimate and accessible public realm which compliments the surrounding nature reserve.
