Arlandastad is located between Stockholm and Uppsala, in an area that has been identified as one of Europe's strongest growth regions. Arlandastad is a part of Stockholm Airport City, a collaborative project between Arlandastad Holding AB, Swedawia and Sigtuna Municipality.

The area is very well integrated both from an  international perspective, with Scandinavia/  Baltic/Russia as the potentially largest catchment area, and  from a  regional  perspective with a reach of almost a third of Sweden’s population within an hour's drive.

The basis of the proposal are strategies for completion of the infrastructure with new local and regional raillines that provide excellent opportunities for large establishments in the area. The proposal also includes strategies for development of a strong identity of Arlandastad that can function as a base for future establishments in the area
